The details of my pie adventure begins in the dark recesses of my local Giant’s clearance corner. You know, at the very bottom of the very end, where there’s no light? So I found the Pumpkin pie for 90% off and was tickled pink. It was in mid-March after all. Not exactly the time of yr people are looking for pumpkin pie. It sat in my freezer for a couple weeks until my choices had dwindled. The 90 min bake time had been a deterrent prior but I was desperate. The aroma filled my home with memories of holidays past. The hour of waiting for the pie to cool was TORTURE! With it still being a bit warm, I sliced myself a hefty piece and proceeded to drown it in whipped cream. The pie made 3 yrs of...

I worked for a short time at this place. I was surprised to see the inconsistency in how pies were made and quality. Management is ok; but what I did notice is that they like to hire from temp agencies which allows them to dispose of people in a whim. They don’t care about the people who work for them. The people who do work there need a job; like many companies they seem to feel pleasure in having the people who work there through temp agencies feel as though it’s the only job in the area. LolThey paid 15.75 through Xpress and I don’t know what they paid through other temp agencies. when I explained that most places that have this type of work are paying 17 and more an hour at least;one of...

I ordered the apple pie and was shocked to find out that it costs $13.99. I thought, given the price, it would be a step up from the usual frozen pies, but I was mistaken. The bottom crust was stuck to the pan and didn’t connect with the top crust, which meant they separated when I sliced it. The top was hard and dry, while the bottom remained adhered to the pan. The filling was unexpectedly sweet and mushy, resembling apple sauce more than anything else. I could tell there was some cinnamon in there, but it was barely detectable. Save your time and money—just stick with a well-known brand you can easily pop in the oven.

We bought a village pie maker coconut cream pie at hyvee it was the worst pie we ever tasted. After looking at ingredients we knew why it was full of chemical concoctions including gums no real food ingredients. We threw it in the trash. In years past we had some of the Village Pies Maker good fruit pies when the pies were made in Eustis, Nebraska. But now the father of our Nebraska governor bought the Village Pie Maker moving its operation to Omaha and their pies are trash fillers. Very disappointing. Bad representation for Nebraska. My friends recommended these pies, and I was skeptical. I didn't think anyone could make a pie as good as my mom's. But wow, I am truly amazed! The cherry and apple pies taste just like my mom's. They go from the freezer straight to the oven and take about 90 minutes to bake. The crust is flaky and tender, not soggy at all. I never would have believed that a frozen pie could be this good. A convection oven worked perfectly to lightly brown the top. It was excellent, and so easy to buy!

Pies are nowhere as good as when they were made in eustis ne. The crust is no longer flaky and tender. It is now dry and crumbles like sand. Very difficult to get out of pie tin because of this. Pies are also smaller but what isn’t when a large company buys out a small thriving quality business. Cherry pie filling not as good and runny. No almond taste like they used to have.

I regret spending my money here. The food was awful—thick and lumpy with greasy clumps. When cooked, it pulled away from the edges of the pan and just sat in the grease. I expected something great because it was labeled 'Premium,' but it was anything but that! I feel like I wasted $6.84 and will definitely not be purchasing this again.

In years prior to the move from Eustis, I would have rated these pies a 5+. Now, the side crusts always stick to the pan making it hard to get a nice slice out of the pan. The filling often leaks through the top crust, and the crusts just don’t seem as good as before. I'm hoping there is a fix underway. Réservez une table maintenant

Pies are not natural at all, and include toxic ingredients like palm oil you might as well buy your pie at Walmart at a cheaper price
