Awful, subpar, unappealing experience. Dined here with friends for a birthday meal recently and the whole experience was very disappointing. Hospitality seems to have gone out the window here. Very tacky old pub furniture. A claw machine near our table is it a restaurant or an arcade?! Staff half assed. Waitress only came to us once during the whole time we were sat down and that was to ask “everything okay?” while walking away with her tablet in her hand not giving us the opportunity to actually respond to the question. Would’ve told her the meat was near inedible, very tough, chewy, uncuttable! We waited ages for our drinks to come too, saw a table who were sat after us got their drinks be...
We were unable to eat here as everything that’s not green has parsley put on it. I hate the stuff and why the powers to be think it looks nice. Well it doesn’t I know quite a lot of people who have stopped eating at Toby Carveries because of this Surely if people want it put a dish of it out with the rest of them let people choose themselves if they want it or not, this chain used to be my favourite of all. Unfortunately it’s now a no go. Understand the higher hierarchy make these decisions and the restaurants have no control I just hope the individual restaurants forward the feedback we do not want parsley there is nothing to gain from adding it and it most certainly doesn’t bring more cust...
We ordered 2 adult carvery meals via Uber Eats and 3 childrens meals. The veg was nice enough but most of the meat was too fatty to eat i mean pure grissle and thick slices of white fat which I ended up giving to the dog. One of the children's meal's meats was just all grissle and went straight into the dog's bowl as i couldnt even cut it. This cost me £48 (after the Uber One discount). I could have bought the veg and the few bites of meat that we were able to salvage for under £10.
food was nice ,service was horrendous the woman who was serving was very disrespectful and when i challenged her on this her excuse was she “was hot” i then proceeded to speak to the manager and he said i am not making excuses but it is hot i go to many toby carverys and i will never go to this establishment again it has ruined mine and my sons evening when we was out having a special celebration

We had a really lovely Sunday lunch today. The staff were really nice no complaints at. We were passing bye and called in the lady explained we should booked. Saying we were passing as on holiday. She kindly got us a table for 2 The food was really good don’t get why people give bad reviews.
Reserved a table for 3, including a toddler, put in the special requirement box for a high chair. Got there to be told there were no more high chairs available, so we had no other options but to leave. Very disappointing when we had a table booked
Faultless experience from the minute we entered, these guys never fail to deliver. Even know us by name now. Can’t go wrong with a Toby. Fantastic food and amazing service thank you
Amazing as always, and the smilest team around Great food and welcoming atmosphere, I’m a regular patron here at TC Ormskirk and it never fails to deliver

We will definitely return, as it was the best carvery we've had. Everything was delicious. The staff were fantastic - friendly and professional.
Much better than a previous visit. The food was plentiful, well presented and cooked. The staff were very friendly (as always) .
