Addy, our server, was a step above! So fast serving us drinks and dinner, almost perfectly timed for everything! We were looking for a simple low key local place, with a good reputation, that we didn't have to dress up for our 16th anniversary. As everyone recommended, we went with the Prime Rib for two, and weren't disappointed! It was a little busy near the bar, so we asked to be seated in probably the most quiet area of the restaurant, and it was no question. We sat in a quiet area of the restaurant by ourselves and enjoyed a well prepared meal. As a gay couple, in an area that might not always be friendly to us, we were truly impressed by the kind and friendly service we received! Y'all...
It was a very busy place. Out of snowmobile trip. But went in there was plenty of seating took a while for waiting staff to get to us. Kind of understandable. But to get a cheeseburger and wait 45 minutes for it. I feel it was very unacceptable. They needto look and see how they could improve getting the food to the people. What I saw for people in there at that time they shouldnot have been more than 15-20 minutes top getting food out. But then again I think that's the price you pay when you want to getsomething to eat that's out there. I enjoyed everything except for the long wait for the food.
Hadn't eaten there in probably 20 years.Pro tip! Order the Au jus on the side!Prime Rib has a fantastic crust that needs to be enjoyed! Unfortunately, I forgot and it came drenched in the Jus which completely saturated and spoiled the superb crust. Won't do that again!Great piece of meat however. Salad bar was great and Blue Cheese dressing was thick, flavorful and outstanding!The place has a low ceiling which reflects the crowd noise especially on the bar side. Almost unbearable at times.But the prime Rib is sublime just get the Aus jus on the side
We were thrilled to discover that Trail's End was open on Monday for the Eclipse! We ordered several appetizers and enjoyed each one, even getting a second pretzel. It was a fantastic experience, especially since it was our first visit to Maine! We also brought home some merchandise.

I wouldn't return to this restaurant, especially with my wife. The crowd there seems rather unruly, with some patrons starting fights and making inappropriate comments towards women. The food was excellent, but the overall experience was spoiled by the behavior of the locals.
The prime rib here is absolutely impressive — it's worth the hour-long drive from the campsite to enjoy a meal here!
Perfect Steak Dinner. Hospitable, Friendly server. Relaxing atmosphere where most any one could enjoy themselves.
PrimeRib was the best I've ever had, seriously, the cuts were perfect in every way, finer licking good!!??
