I visited this restaurant for a date on a Thursday evening. I am unsure if they close at 10pm or 11pm on Thursdays, but that uncertainty turned out to be a positive as my date and I arrived around 7/7:30pm and stayed for hours, enjoying the wine and the atmosphere. We were one of the last tables to leave, but we never felt rushed or pressured to leave. We ended up staying until around 10:30pm, thinking it was okay since there was another group of men at a nearby table who seemed to be staying and chatting as well. My fiancé and I had a wonderful engagement dinner at this restaurant. The manager, Mario, and his staff were incredibly welcoming. We appreciated how attentive Mario was, checking on every table to ensure everyone felt comfortable. The gnocchi and Fusilli Calabrese were both delicious dishes. The Fusilli had a nice spicy kick to it, which we enjoyed. We will definitely be returning the next time we are in Detroit. We are even hoping for a location to open in Chicago. PS, the calamari was also very good!
My fiancé and I went here for the first time and we had a great experience. They sat us at the bar while we waiting for our table and had a drink. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The polenta appetizer was delicious and we had tiramisu for dessert which is absolutely worth ordering. We were pleased with our meals, we got the gnocchi and veal Marsala they were good but we will be going back and probably trying something different.
We had a wonderful experience at Da Luigi's and will definitely return. The staff and owners treat you like family. Every dish we tried was tasty, especially the gnocchi, sausage peppers, and tiramisu. The espresso martinis were outstanding, just as they are claimed to be. Can't wait to come back again!

for dinner and was very disappointed. the atmosphere is beautifully decorated. very romantic and many authentic Italian vibes.
I was a bit disappointed with the entree. The marinara sauce was pretty bland. The Leminchello cake was delicious.
an exceptional restaurant. everything we ordered was scratch made and fantastic. we are going back next week.
