Si vous allez ici, n'essayez pas les plats indiens ou vaguement chinois. Allez pour les vrais trucs sri-lankais. Le kottu roti - (rubans ou morceaux de rotus de remous frites avec des épices, des légumes et des œufs parfois et de la viande) est agréable. Le boeuf biriyani est assez savoureux aussi, mais ne vous attendez pas à un lourd nord de la dum ou de la couche de biriyani.Me partenaire et j'ai tous deux apprécié le buffet du déjeuner week-end, ayant mangé de la nourriture indienne sud pour la majeure partie de sa vie, il était très agréablement surpris - être très agréablement surpris. Prévu bien que le buffet soit surtout végétarien et a tendance à obtenir beaucoup de clients.
this restaurant is now under a new management and is called ceylon taste. I enjoyed the eiertrichter (a traditional Srilankian crispy eggplant cake type of ding) only available at the weekend. must be eaten fresh. even though I personally feel that the place is better equipped for more outlier than eating. lamb kottu is a super court to take. much better than before. it starts to be my weekend.
Horrible place and food. Briyani was served cold with a small piece of chicken. And when we went to pay, the guy at the counter charged extra saying that the price is based on a separate dine-in menu which was not given to us! The menu given to us as shown stated Dine-in & Takeaway.
Very disappointing! Will never come back again!

Trinco Star was first recommended by a Sri Lankan colleague for affordable traditional neighbourhood gem frequented by Sri Lankan and Indian ex pats. Expect 'traditional service ' and modest restaurant and food. Pictured below is the kottu roti (shredded roti stir fry), dosa, and chai masala.

Trinco star closed. it is renamed Ceylon palette or something. we ordered takeaway without knowing and was disappointed. the naan tasted like broth and there was a thick oil layer in beef vendaloo.
here you can expect traditional restaurant in sri lanka. ordered eating and expected it in 20 minutes. but, lasted 40 minutes to come for eating. oh and by the way, the place does not take eftpos!
