I had attended a by invitation tasting back when they first opened and always wanted to return. Well, with a few extra off days at work, I made a point of it and am glad I did. Sat at the bar for dinner I noticed many others doing the same. They had an extensive wine list with a good by the glass selection, so I opted for a Pouilly Fuisse and an Italian Red. Both were good picks. Decided to start my dinner with a Lobster Bisque. Nicely served and great taste not the best bisque I've ever had but still tasteful and pleasing. For our Valentine's dinner, we chose to celebrate at Truluck's in Rosemont, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Our server, Rudy, was fantastic; we couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of us. My wife and I decided to share the sea bass and steak, along with a Caesar salad and shrimp cocktail. The shrimp cocktail was presented alongside dry ice, adding a wonderful touch of elegance. For dessert, we were treated to a delightful Flambe Baked Alaska, which was dramatically set on fire—a truly spectacular sight! To top off the perfect evening, the live singer in the restaurant was incredible; we only realized he was performing live after hearing a few songs....
I usually prepare Thanksgiving dinner myself, but this year has been difficult since my father and my significant other are first responders. We found ourselves looking for a last-minute option and discovered a reservation on OpenTable. It was the best decision! First of all, the decor was stunning and beautifully designed. Secondly, our server, Rich, provided excellent service. And lastly (though it could easily tie for first place), the food was incredible! I had the best crabs and sea bass I've ever tasted, while my partner enjoyed the Thanksgiving Festival, which was fantastic. Thank you for the wonderful experience—we will definitely be back!
Birthday celebration for my wife was an enjoyable evening. Unfortunately we were delayed arriving for our reservation but the front desk couldn't have been more accommodating. Our dinner was terrific with three of us enjoying filets and my wife the crab legs. Two of the steaks came out under cooked but the staff was terrific in resolving the issue. Truffle fries and cream spinach were delicious as sides. The manager stopped by and was very helpful. In addition to the crème brûlée, the server brought us three other desserts as a make up for the steaks. Nice work! I'll be back.
This was a great experience on all fronts. I made a last minute reservation for my b-day for i was looking for some fresh oysters. The hostess accommodated me with a smile and ask where i would like to sit. We had a high top in the bar area near the beautiful voiced piano singer. The service was great, Ashley and Pam were attentive, charming and helpful. The food was fresh and delicious. They also have a great wine list. We will be regulars.
This place was packed to make sure you have reservations and dress right. The staff was friendly and very efficient. The food... everything was good, but the Chilean sea bass only pampered in your mouth. It was so delicious. The Auhi tuna was very good, just not as delicious as the sea bass. There is a good selection of dishes on the menu and everything was served relatively quickly and portions were good.
I liked the ambience. I have been to authentic seafood restaurants in Boston, DC, and SF, and compared to those this is decent. The crab cake was OK. Good for one-time visit, if you are around O’Hare or the Fashion outlets of Chicago. A bit on the pricier side relative to the other fancy seafood places elsewhere. Overall positive!
I visited to celebrate a birthday and Mother's Day, and the experience was fantastic. From the moment we arrived until we left, the waiter was very attentive. Everything was served promptly, and I really appreciated that we weren't rushed. I will definitely be returning!
