truth bbq is great and I would recommend it to everyone in houston. her brisket is full of taste from seasonal and smoking, and it is clear truth becomes qualitatiw high quality braut because it was amazingly delicate and moist. when we visited during a weekday for lunch, we received freshly cut brisket at the right temperature. during our visit they also rehearsed from their smoked truthahn. While we didn't order it with our meal, we thought that the taste of truthahns was delicious even with the right amount of smokiness, and it was also very delicate and juicy. their maispudding is to die, and it could have been our favorite thing! we visited on a wed to lunch at 11:50 o'clock and waited...
Besides the 45 minute wait this was our very first experience with a bbq place in Houston. Once you get in you can definetely see the love in the brisket which is delicious. We got the 3/2 combo which consisit of meats Brisket, Ribs, Pulled Pork, Sausage etc etc. The sides were subpar but the atmosphere was your casual family bbq place. Last but not least the food is pricey so prepare to bring 70 dollars for the meal if you are a couple. Being from the south a bbq should be affordable for everyone not just the lucky few
Beware, eating here has absolutely ruined brisket for me as it was so phenomenonal I can't eat brisket anywhere else and not immediately be sad that I'm not eating at Truth. Same with the ribs. Just amazing. Worth the wait however long it is. Friendly and helpful staff, amazing food, honestly I need to plan to come back as this is the only place I can now eat brisket from. Order twice as much as you think you want and you will be very happy you did!
The meat was too salty and the ribs had a little lime taste. I had the ribs and brisket. Ribs and brisket were moist and tender but i wasn’t impressed with overall taste. I had baked beans and coleslaw which I really didn’t enjoy. The sauce was too vinegary and the food was overpriced in my opinion. I still believe Gaitlins and Pinkerton have much better with Gaitlins being my 1st choices. The staff at TRUTH was very friendly
