One of the true jewels of the restaurant scene in Adelaide. Truly authentic ramen with beautiful stock, freshly made noodles and the perfect balance of ingredients. Similarly the chargrilled skewers are to die for and genuinely authentic to a the best you will find in Tokyo or Osaka. The owners and staff are genuinely friendly and I note a couple of reviews that have suggested that the service is lacking - this is certainly not my experience on the seven occasions I have been to date. At last Adelaide has a Japanese restaurant that is of a quality and authenticity that would be viable in Japan - it is worthy of note that most of their custom is of Japanese heritage. Given that they have only been open for a few months and at still in the phase of establishing their reputation I really expect even greater achievements in my he future. Can't recommend the experience more highly.
Popped in on a Sunday night and the place looked full! We hadn't booked but luckily there were two seats left at the bar which we grabbed. We ordered four different kinds of yakitori which were all delicious. Staff were friendly, the service was great and it was good value. It was nice to be able to watch the chef grilling over the hot coals, lovingly brushing and seasoning each skewer with care and obvious passion. Having spent time in Japan, it was very authentic and brought back lovely memories. We would definitely come back here.
Food was delicious. Flavours in the ramen broth were amazing. Ramen bowls are huge so don't eat too many starters! Atmosphere was lacking a little. Staff very friendly. We had no problems with our food but was given other tables food by mistake a few times, however we gave it back to them. Affordable. I do think that they may have a few language barriers to overcome with some of their staff. Overall thoroughly enjoyed.
