This place is fairly new and seemingly undiscovered as there doesn't seem to be much advertising or promotion for the establishment. Heard about it through the local network and stopped in for lunch. Quesadillas seem to be a popular menu item and are pretty good. Presentation could be a bit better....you simply get a quesadilla on a plate, no condiments of sour cream, salsa etc are with it. Had a Greek and a bit of Tzaziki would have been nice. Was not busy at lunch but it's new and in a bit of an out of the way spot so may not have caught on yet. It's licensed and has comfortable seats with trendy decor so may be popular with a younger crowd after work etc.
Great customer service and atmosphere here. They offer great lunch options and they have a liquor license for events in the evening. The food is tasty and mid-range. The quantity of food was filling. It was approx. $10 for lunch. My only complaint was the bathrooms were across the hall and it required one of those dirty bathroom keys. It would be nice to have a customer sink on the restaurant side for someone that doesn't want to enjoy e-coli in their food after using the washroom.
I'm reluctant to review this place because I'd like to keep it to myself but it's too good to keep secret. This small establishment is hidden on a downtown side street in Kenora. It's perfect for a light lunch or a quiet get together for drinks. I often go there for a macchiato (I get a double) in the afternoon and can truthfully say that I have never had better outside of Italy. Very friendly and relaxing.
There is always something going on at Unfixed Cafe....it is the place to stop by on a rainy day...you can borrow books or even play your favorite game (Trivia, and much more), different themes for every night. Concert, art class. Lunch, tea, coffee, wine,...make sure to check them online, you won't be disappointed. A great place to see a great owner full of fresh ideas.... Réservez une table maintenant
