There are 2 restaurants that market themselves as vegan in Olde Town Arvada so after going to So Radish, I figured I should check out Urban Beets as well. I've now been to Urban Beets twice and while it is good, I wouldn't say it knocked my socks off. I think you're more so paying for the experience and the opportunity to sit on their lovely patio in Olde Town. The first time I got their Italian Grinder sandwich with chips. It was good but at $13, again, not particularly phenomenal. I came here once a week at least when I worked just down the road before covid. I no longer work so close but I found myself near here and was so excited to be back. Then I saw their menu is no longer fully vegan?!? Correct me if I'm wrong but this place used to be 100% vegan! That's why I chose urban beets over so radish because so radish offered a vegan menu but also offered meat on the side... I'm sad that it's no longer 100% vegan. Yummmmmm with a side of live music and strong drinks! Visiting a friend for girls night out in Arvada and she was so excited for us to try this place as she'd only had drinks while listening to music previously. None of our party were vegetarians but boy did we all lick our lips at everything on the menu. We shared the cauliflower with the spicy Asian and Buffalo sauces on the side and I had the pierogis. I visited this restaurant for the first time last week when So Radish was closed, and I wasn't aware of its existence before. The food was tasty and the service was friendly. We ordered an appetizer to share along with two main courses. It was delicious enough that I wanted to try dessert, but unfortunately, they don't have a dessert menu. My only issue was with the timing of the dishes; my husband's meal arrived first, followed by the appetizer, and mine came out last, which felt a bit disorganized. Great vegan restaurant in adorable Old Town Arvada. We went on a Thursday and were seated outside right away . There was live music that went perfectly with the setting of the evening. The owner randomly came up to our table to check on us and talk for a bit. I appreciated that. He seemed like a cool guy who clearly cares about his restaurant and guests. We ordered a few appetizers. Thy were all delicious and portions were good sized. BBQ jackfruit nachos, pierogis, and buffalo cauliflower wings. All 100% vegan. My strawberries and soda gin drink was bomb. Highly recommend. I will definitely be back here.
At the end of our meal, the chef surprised us with a special dish made from lion’s mane mushrooms, which were also cooked perfectly and had a light sprinkle of lemon on top. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed everything. Next time we’re in Arvada, we’ll definitely return! Thank you to everyone at Urban Beets for providing us with such a fantastic vegan dining experience!
I really like this place but unfortunately they rarely answer their phones to take orders and are frequently closed during posted business hours. The simple solution would be to post a sign on the door as to why they're closed. Is it staffing? Are the hours that are posted wrong? Are you going out of business? Salmonella outbreak? Who knows
The food is absolutely amazing and very creative. Nick and Liv are wonderful people that very hard to keep the energetic and fun atmosphere of Olde Town Arvada alive. If your skeptical of vegan food don't be. It's filing and extremely delicious. Live music is a pretty regular thing. Perfect place fo a night out in the town. Réservez une table maintenant
Awesome song playlist when you're sitting inside, amazing food, and great service. I am not vegetarian but I did not miss any meat when I ate here. The jackfruit nachos were incredible and the Chik'n sandwich was soo good. I recommend this to anyone who's look for great food and a great atmosphere.
