I have been a long time Veloce customer and have previously reviewed them and given a great rating. Recently, I've noticed a huge lack in level of customer service and tried to write to them separately on their site and also called, no one ever returned my inquiries. On Sunday, June 4th we placed a delivery order for a birthday meal. When the meal arrived, the delivery man was quite flustered and didn't know which was our order. After that was resolved, he advised me that there is a charge (1.50) to use the debit or credit machine for my order. We came across this restaurant during our stay in London and were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The food was delicious, with generous portion sizes. I ordered the 12" California pizza and my husband had the seafood linguine, both of which were excellent. We even received complimentary bread, which is a rarity these days. Unlike a previous dining experience where the portion size was much smaller and no bread was offered, Veloce exceeded our expectations. This restaurant serves the most authentic Italian-style pizza. It is cooked in a wood-fired oven and the thin crust is made with meticulous attention to detail. In addition to the usual soft drinks like coke, they also offer Italian options such as Peroni beer, which pairs perfectly with the meal. The atmosphere is pleasant, with a modern and clean decor. This is definitely a restaurant worth visiting again. Just remember to enjoy the pizza on the same day as it doesn't reheat well the next day, but this is likely due to the freshness of the ingredients.
One of our favourtie go to places for date night! The pizza tastes like it came straight from Italy. I just recently tried the pasta and it was absolutely incredible.
