We were excited to visit this restaurant for the first time. As part of the golf course set up, there's parking available but on a Sunday it's very full ,early. The bistro and adjoining coffee verandah makes for a lovely venue for young families, private parties, casual meals of just a coffee while the kids run around or play at the kids park.We had a party of 13 for a birthday and arrived at 9.30am as the breakfast crowd were in full swing.Straight to the point - this is a nice venue, decent menus at a reasonable price, BUT the service is the worst I have experienced for many years. If not for the party, I would have left after the first hour waiting for a cup of tea.Coffees took 45 minutes...
Much as I like to praise the endeavours of any bistro style offering I am struggling to find anything to like about this restaurant. This is a setting to die for yet if you are golfing or just out for the ambience of a great locale the food served here will temper your experience.We had breakfast. There was nothing creative in the serving. Poached eggs were obviously pre prepared and cold, the toast just awful and cold and the avocado, that recently much maligned "smashed" variant, just served as cut in half in the skin, and cold...SERIOUSLY!!!Salt and Pepper are in sachets...(who does that in this day and age?) and the salt was absent. Recently had lunch on the Terrace. Place was packed with families enjoying the winter sunshine. We found a spare "table keg" and ordered drinks and food - yes we knew it was in a smoking area but no smokers at any of these kegs. Food arrived and waiter said we could stay and eat as place was full. Came back 2 minutes later and told us all to move. Relocated to another table and enjoyed a mediocre/average and overpriced burger and chips ($24). But the major gripe was no-one chased away other diners who sat in the same non-smoking area eating their food - hopefully it was better than ours. .
The bistro should be avoided, they do not care about customer experience. It was Thursday lunch, 10 people sitting at tables (quiet lunch). Firstly, I had to walk up to counter to get menus and order, despite it being table service. Secondly I wanted to swap out chips for mashed potato on the Chicken Schnitzel. They said NO (they make mash potato with sausages, so they do it, but NO the kitchen can not do it for the schnitzel). I even offered to pay extra. They again said NO. Avoid this place, use your purchasing $ power at a place that actually cares about people.

We celebrated my 70th at the Bistro and we all had a great afternoon.The food was excellent and service great. Thanks to Michael and Amy for arranging everything from the Platters to Entrees and then lunch. It is a great place to enjoy with young children.We can highly recommend this wonderful venue
Great place for an early Sunday Breakfast followed by an 18 hole round of putt putt with the kids. Good place to take visitors to Brisbane. Nice views of the city skyline.
Our family love the Bistro’s kid’s playground and games area on weekends. A great location for families with a good menu selection.
Excellent service. Prompt attention. Great food and beverage selection! Would definitely visit again.

Great venue with friendly staff. We had a wonderful lunch surrounded by city views. We will be back!
