Upon arrival we entered the main house to find a guest looking at brochures placed in a rack and on a table. After a moment, I asked if there was anyone to receive us and this guest pointed to a telephone where we could summon someone. Eventually, this person arrived, laughing inanely and fetching a key to our quarters. Let me begin my recommending you not stay in Unit 22. I believe it is named Coachman's Quarters on the website. Clmbing the stairs outside the unit, noting they were badly in need of paint, we arrived the deck and opened the door. It was rather warm inside, we discovered, with the small window unit set at 28. This was the livng room with a couch and two or three comfortable a...

We have stayed at many of the beautiful old houses in the Annapolis Valley that now serve as Bed and Breakfasts, so the bar is set pretty high. The property was amazing! The lovely details inside the house are pristine, truly beautiful. Where this property came up short was the breakfast. We were given menus with two selections of choices, but when the plates arrived...only one of the choices actually arrived (the scrambled eggs . Ham had been substituted for bacon/sausages and instead of waffles, pancakes were served. The eggs were tasteless and I wonder if they were powdered instead of fresh (had they been fresh, I suspect a choice might have been given regarding how you wanted them prepar...

My friend and I stayed for 3 nights in the Carriage house located on the top/2nd floor with it's own porch, table, chairs, 2 bedrooms, separate living room and bathroom. Loved the bedrooms- charming colors and accessories. The lilac room with queen bed was the quietest room (faces the Inn and part of the street). The twin bedded room wasn't as quiet and one could hear whenever the people next door flushed to toilet but no street noise. Note- must climb stairs to the Carriage house (not a problem for us) there is no elevator. As everyone else has stated, breakfast menus change every 2 days and offer 3 choices which are cooked to order (from French toast to eggs, cereal, juice). The dining roo...

My husband and I, along with three other couples, were guests at Victoria’s Historic Inn, in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, over the weekend of September 21st. The Inn is conveniently located within a short walk of shopping and dining options in this bustling university town. Without a reception desk, arrival at the Inn was initially a little disconcerting, but we eventually caught the attention of staff and were quickly sorted out. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds, and the staff were lovely and accommodating, graciously providing us with additional seating for the private porch attached to our room, so the eight of us could all sit together outside. The included breakfast, served...

As soon as we arrived we were greated by the inn keeper who was very helpful in showing us to our rooms (we were not in the main house which was perfect because my wife was having knee problems and would have had problms with the stairs)I believe we were in room 16. The room was large and our accommodations were excellent. We had breakfast there for two mornings and the staff were very friendly and the breakast choices were sufficient. Very pleasant dinning area. Would recommend

We were scheduled for 2 nights at the beginning of June 2022. The first room we were brought to had mold in the bathroom and stains on the carpet. After refusing to stay in such a filthy room, we were taken to see another room and the bathroom fan had so much filth and grime on it; it was absolutely disgusting. We were fortunate to have such a kind gentlemen showing us around and thankfully our money was refunded. I would never recommend this place.

We had stayed here years ago and it was lovely so this stay was such a disappointment . The inn is tired, grounds were unkept, our room had some kind of sheet tacked up over the window in the bathroom, windows were dirty and although I had emailed that I had food allergies, they were ignored and no alternatives were offered. For the price we paid, well over $200.00 a night I expected more. We certainly wouldn’t stY again

This grand old Inn is in need of TLC. The staff were great and worked hard to meet all the gusts needs. But the Inn needs more staff and money to maintain it at the previous standard. It is a great location and it would be a shame to allow it to deteriorate any further.

Enjoyed breakfast both mornings...a great way to start a day. The food is prepared with care and you receive adequate and pleasant attention.
