I have been wanting to try Villa Nova pizza for a few years. They first came to my attention, when they were featured on Chicago 's best. I 'm originally from Chicago, but live in California now, and haven 't had a chance to try them. I finally got a chance to try them on my current visit home. Let me tell you, this pizza was delicious. There was a place my dad use to get pizza from, called Ray 's pizza on the Southside, and I have been chasing that taste for years. Great pizza! One of the best, but their hours suck. They used to be open until 12am daily basically. Now it's 9pm weekdays 10pm Friday Saturday. I'm a nightshift worker. So their hours have me ordering way less than I used to. Also their across the board delivery fee is ridiculous at $6. I now try to pick it up myself if I can. Awesome tavern style pizza though. Beyond dissatisfied, ordered fries that came in a tin pan with just a handful of fries whole tin pan basically empty, same went for the breaded mushrooms and marinara sauce tasted like salsa and had a nasty aftertaste. Pizza slices are small and seem like frozen pizza not homemade at restaurant. For the price definitely not worth it. Go somewhere else. Meal type: Dinner

Have been excited to try for a while, did last week wish we ordered more... so good and I've been eating good chicago pizza for this current life 40 years. Better late than never!!! Got a sausage green pep. 10/10.
Still the best pizza around. The cheese and sausage is some of the best I've had. Even after 5 years of ordering from them it's still solid.
