We’ve been coming to this restaurant for 20 years. It has changed hands quite a bit. But my husband and I started coming here when it was Cafe on the Green. We have a sentimental attachment to it. Different in some ways and the same in others. Food was very good. Waitress was sweet and attentive. We sat outside and it was a beautiful day. Great ambience. Definitely will go back again.
This restaurant is a hidden treasure in Bayside. It has an elegant atmosphere, tasty food, and a welcoming staff. I recently attended their Halloween dinner dance and had a fantastic time. It's a perfect spot to celebrate a special birthday, especially on a Thursday night when they have live music. I am considering hosting a private party on their upper floor.
The setting was great and the ambience was on point besides the NOTICEABLE drag racing right out front. The food WAS HORRIBLE… Service was stalkerish!!! The restaurants lights turned off at 10:15PM on a Thursday. Why make reservations when the restaurant is EMPTY?!? Never again. The staff raced out of the establishment and left us in the parking lot. Smh!
While the food was good for the most part (baked clams were tiny; lentil soup special was excellent), we were disappointed that our request for a birthday candle was not given any attention, especially when the table next to ours received a lovely anniversary dessert... table for 2 is too small. the restaurant would not recommend to a party of 2 unless larger tables are present. the food fell on the floor because there was no place to lay the dishes. brot Basket was removed prematurely to allow more space.
Waitress was attentive and accommodating. They had live music which added nice ambience. Food was great and they even had the band sing happy birthday to my brother which was a nice touch.
We went to have brunch at this restaurant. Our server was friendly and attentive, the ****** Marys and food were good. Overall, it was a good experience.
We had a lovely dinner for five and the service was extraordinary! Prices were reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the ambience . Réservez une table maintenant
