Extremely poor customer service. We placed an order and payment was taken from our card. We tried to contact customer service for over an hour and the lines just looped back to a menu. Two hours after our order and an hour of that trying to get through (including messages that were seen on messenger and ignored, we get a voicemail that they have been trying to contact the restaurant for hours but have been unsuccessful for hours. Why confirm the order and take payment? Why not call the customer with the order to explain instead of making us wait with a “confirmed” status for two hours? Why are the phones down during this? And why did someone MAGICALLY cancel our order after we posted on here...
2 stars because I never actually got to try there service. I attempted to make an order because a family friend said they take cash instead of using one of the big delivery services that only take card. However when attempting to pay cash the customer service said they do not do cash on your first order. Due to my and there “safety”. They just want your credit or debit card info to hold you liable. I understand but I don’t give out that to a delivery person and there is no reason why they can’t delivery for cash like every other pizza place or chines place. So if you intend to pay cash go elsewhere sadly they do not accept. Customer service was nice however and obviously just doing there job...
Amended review after a second try: Vroom Service offers a better array of delivery than Grubhub for central CT (Meriden). This is major for me, as a former New Haven resident, I got spoiled with choices. HOWEVER, I have ordered twice, and both times, my food has arrived about an hour after projected. The first time, a full hour late, the second, 50 minutes. On the second order, I did receive a call to at least let me know my order was going to be late. And customer service credited me the first order back. I may be willing to give Vroom Service a third try based on their superior restaurant variety, but I can't recommend them if you need your food to arrive by a certain time.
I NEVER take the time to post negative reviews because I know things happen but I’ve never had such poor service from a deliver company. Our food arrived cold late. One dish looked like someone actually sat on it, making a mess of the whole dish. I called customer service and no one ever answers. It’s just a loop over and over. I’ll never use this service again. Customer service doesn't pick up. I called the restaurant and they never even got my order. Brought up the wait time to 2 and a half hours because they took my order and didn't do anything with it. Got a call later on from a very nice girl who got two more stars on my rating. They need more drivers. Now I know not to order at peak times.
I didn't end up ordering through them. On top of the delivery fee, which I expected, they jacked up the price of the food. The kid's meal from Puerto Vallarta was almost 2x the restaurant price $6.50 on the menu, $11.97 on vroom). Every other meal was at least $1 more. Ordering 4 items was $17 more before even including a tip.
After ordering for years and having fairly good service we are sick and tired of seeing restaurants to order from that aren’t delivering. This has been a constant issue For a while which We have called to address. They still like to advertise businesses that aren’t partaking in their services.
