It was my first time at a Waffle House, and while my expectations were modest, I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The bacon, egg, and cheese hash brown bowl was incredibly delicious, the waffle had the perfect touch of vanilla sweetness, and the coffee was fantastic (I'm quite particular about my coffee). However, the highlight of my visit was our waitress, CJ. She was genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive, truly excelling at her job. I regret not catching the chef's name, but he was very friendly and cheerful as well. Thank you for making our stop on the way from New York to Hershey such a wonderful experience!
Typically, WH is excellent, but unfortunately, that was not the case this morning. Firstly, the place felt like an icebox. Secondly, the food cooled off quickly. Thirdly, I was served orange tea instead of regular tea without any prior notification when I placed my order. The server was not friendly at all; she seemed like she regarded her job as a burden. Oh, Waffle House, how we wish you were in New York! We travel to Coal Township several times a year, and we always make a stop at the Waffle House in Scranton, PA. We absolutely love it! The service is consistently fast, and the food is always delicious. You have to try the peanut butter waffle—it's fantastic! The staff at this restaurant is incredibly friendly, and the food is outstanding. I had the sausage, egg, and cheese grits along with coffee, and everything tasted fantastic. This is definitely a wonderful place to bring your family if you're looking for delicious cooking in a pleasant atmosphere. The prices are reasonable, and you certainly get your money’s worth!
