I have found that the Hinsdale Walmart, despite its size, actually has a rather limited product selection. The Keene store is half the size but has countless things this store doesn’t. Also the grocery section is constantly out of everything. Also,during Covid, they blocked off everything except grocery or what was deemed “essential” by the state of VERMONT??but the store is in New Hampshire!
Compared to the Walmarts in Massachusetts, this store is better run. The employees are friendlier and more willing to help. Walmarts in MA are located in liberal towns, and the employees that work there (not all) seem entitled and a bit arrogant. But that’s what happens when you have DEI, trans, etc quotas in liberal areas. Plus NH has no sales tax which helps.
Great place for home goods and grocery shopping. The layout is great. Plan on 30+-minute wait in the checkout line. They are notorious for having only two open lanes for 25+ shoppers. The self check out is 40 people deep! Management of the front is horrible!
On weekends, it's best to stay as late as possible; otherwise, you might find yourself waiting in line for up to an hour. They either need to implement more self-checkouts or hire additional staff. Réservez une table maintenant
The return policy at the Hinsdale location does not align with the corporate guidelines. As a result, I had to drive 20 miles to another Walmart to return my item.
Terry came quickly from another department to help me find a replacement battery for my watch. She was patient and knew just how to find exactly what I needed.
The store is good no taxes but most of the front end staff have attitudes and refuse to help you,
