We Stayed over night in Woodstock and asked the hotel for food recommendations, she suggested Walters Table. Small diner felt very home town! I had the chicken slovaki. I didn't want the potato so they offered the option of extra rice. Served with Greek salad and bread with tzatziki sauce. The dinner was a hit. My fiance had the calf liver served with french fries with an added choice of bacon. Both dinners were done to perfection. Very reasonably priced Chicken slovaki dinner. Was 15.45 the liver dinner was $12 and $2 extra for bacon. With four beers the total was $53. Would definitely go back when visiting Woodstock New Brunswick
I love Walter's. It's got a varied menu with excellent breakfast options to lunch staples and solid dinners. The breakfast clubhouse is my go-to, but you can't really go wrong with any of their omelettes or standard breakfasts either. They have a killer souvlaki, too. Walter's is laid back with great service. It's very welcoming and homespun and a perfect addition to downtown Woodstock. Sometimes, you don't have to reinvent the wheel to be essential.
We were in town for a wedding and needed to eat lunch prior to the event. Obviously, needing to fit into our outfits and not be outrageously full, we wanted something filling but not super heavy. Walter's Table had a HUGE menu so it was hard to choose from but our food (I had a club sandwich and the husband had a reuben sandwich) was really good. The service was good as well. I would eat here again if I was in the area.
My husband and I travel extensively and were surprised to see Eggs Benny on the menu. Our first time in was lunch and asked if it was still available to order. Our waitress informed us we could have breakfast all day! We were not disappointed. The best eggs benny around for miles. Pleasant atmosphere, kind and courteous staff and very reasonable prices.
