I'm really frustrated with the drive-through experience at this restaurant. It seems like I can't go without missing one or more items when I get home. The staff members are mostly teenagers who clearly don’t take their jobs seriously, which I can understand to some extent, as they’re still learning. However, this can make things tough for customers like me. I do my best to check the order, but with large orders and cars piling up behind me, it’s hard to ensure everything is there before I drive off. There was a line for drive-thru, backed up to route 1. However this store has an amazing team and they were able to get us through the drive-thru paid and have our food in less than 6 minutes!!! And that was with at least 15 cars in line. Being a former restaurant manager, I really do understand the fast food business. To have that amount of customers move through the line that quickly, I was highly impressed. Not only that but two of my hamburgers are special made, and they were absolutely correct. Fries were hot, and service was friendly and fast!!
My experience was quite uncomfortable and, frankly, unsettling given the issue of color bias and racism still present in the 21st century. In front of other patrons, the manager accused me of stealing a 99-cent burger. Once she realized her mistake, she tried to make amends by offering me a frosty, which felt more like an insult. It raises concerns that Wendy's might be instructing their management in ways that alienate Black customers by fostering misleading and humiliating narratives.
The fries are consistently cold, every time. Where is the manager when it comes to ensuring quality? It's quite disappointing.
