We had been wanting to try the Woodfire for a while. We looked online at its menu and saw that it had both of our favorites bone in ribeye and cedar plank salmon. When we look at the menu there's no bone in ribeye. The server says that they don't offer it any more. All right, ok. My husband orders strip steak. He is one of the most agreeable people and never complains and pretty much will eat anything put in front of him he even eats food that was on our counter all night (yuk, but that's him not me). But the steak he received was so over cooked and grizzly he could barely cut through it a knife. Bad cut and bad chef/cook. And the price was not inexpensive. To be fair, my husband didn't say...
I stopped by this restaurant today while out biking on our Harleys, just before watching the Bears get defeated by the Chiefs. Aside from one male employee who really shouldn't be in a serving role, our visit was fantastic. I had a salmon BLT that was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. My brother ordered a pulled pork sandwich, which he also enjoyed. The prices were reasonable. The other server who originally seated us really made up for the shortcomings of our designated server. She visited our table several times, was very pleasant, and clearly knew what she was doing. So, my verdict is in: if you're in the area, definitely stop by and sit outside like we did before the weather gets...
I had high hopes for this restaurant, but the food experience left much to be desired. The brisket was highly promoted, but it turned out to be nothing remarkable and quite expensive. It was dry and at best, lukewarm, while the sides tasted as though they had been frozen and microwaved. To make matters worse, our server spilled drinks all over the table while trying to refill our glasses, and there were cracks in the table that ended up soaking my daughter. Despite trying to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, we won't be coming back anytime soon.
I had a wonderful dining experience with delicious food and excellent service. The vegetarian options were impressive, including a Beyond Meat burger, cheesy pizza, delightful salads, and some tasty appetizers. They also offer gluten-free choices to accommodate dietary restrictions. We dined in for dinner, and the price per person ranged from $10 to $20. I would rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5, along with the service and atmosphere, both also receiving a 5. As for parking, there was plenty of space available with a free parking lot. My friend and I grabbed a bite at the restaurant after the Apple Fest. We enjoyed a meal on the patio with my dog. The Woodfire Chopped Salad was both delicious and hearty. Our server, Michelle, was delightful—she provided excellent service and was very friendly with both us and our dog. We will certainly return. She even brought us some Grenadine to help shoo away a pesky bee, and it surprisingly worked! The price per person was around $20–30.
