Atmosphere- yes- a lot! Friendliness and helpfulness of wait staff/servers- perfect! The food is seasonal and local and a huge step up from other restaurants without being the least bit fussy. We had small local cheese selections with a beautiful, ripe fig and apple chutney,...radishes butter, beef steak with mustard and bacon, jagerschnitzel, and apple wine, and a german beer. Dessert was tart warm raspberries over vanilla ice cream and apple fritters with ice cream. We were stuffed but very satisfied. This is one of those experiences you’ll never forget. It is also priced very reasonably. A win/win.
We were recommended this place from both the hotel, and a little research on here. The little country (b.z Bauland) backroads were nice to get to the hotel/ restaurant, through the apple orchards. The restaurant has the feel of an Alpen restaurant from the decor....The staff was amazing. Friendly, and willing to chit-chat. The food was great. Large portions, with attention to detail. This is a fantastic place. Highly recommended if in the area.

Topped by the friendliness and competence of all staff members we made contact in several occasions.
I came here with friends on their recommendation. The location is really nice -- set right next to the nearby fields and farms. It overlooks the Bodensee lake. Very relaxing and quiet. We sat on the outdoor porch and had excellent service and food. It has the feel of a local family restaurant that has been around for a while. I had a steak with cheese spätzle. i would highly recommend.

I were in this hotel only for dinner with friends and we were very satisfied with quality. servise was good and meal spetzle also good. not best self made alcohol...i drink better one
Food and service was very good. All meat is sourced locally and even the wine, beer, etc. comes from the region. Also, you can pay with CC which is not always possible in Germany
