We fell on this place by accident - a haven from the pouring rain. As it was late October there was no difficulty in securing a table. The dining room was sparse and lacked character but the service more than made up for that. We had been champagne tasting, so didn't try the house champagne at €8 a glass. We chose the Menu du Jour, at €21, plus a bottle Sancerre red at a pricy €30,50. The pastry on my veal, chicken and vol-au-vent was excellent; my wife had the house paté in a pastry wrap. Main courses were pavé of beef, and cod with caper sauce. We both chose brioche pain-perdu (off the main menu) for sweet - a rush of childhood memories! With two coffees our bill came to €77,35.Overall we felt it was an adequate meal for the price: nothing poor to complain of; nothing to rave about either. The wines a well over-priced, though.
