Super menu, Four types of beef cut, a cracking Pot au Feu, (Hot Pot) with huge pieces of meat and bone marrow, Kidneys, liver, white sausage and a really good Black Pudding and also a stuffed cabbage dish.Huge portions, bundles of character and an absolute delight to eat here in a really old building at the bottom of Arcs 1950 in the dark park opposite the lift that goes back over the village

My wife & I went here last Saturday to celebrate a rather large birthday with a zero attached. I have to say it was a pleasant experience and lived up the reviews posted here. I had a surf & turf starter and then a seafood ballotine. Beautifully cooked & presented. My better half had St Marcelin to start and Duck parmentier for mains, again beautifully presented and cooked. Ample amounts of food. Service left nothing to chance. And of course there were birthday candles with the café gourmand. Nice bottle of wine and the total was €110. Good value for my special occasion. We will return.

Great place to end a holiday ski week. It was snowing heavily when we arrived by car and is quite tucked away in a pedestrian area, above the main road. Suggest you wear warm attire if arriving by foot.We found the food delicious and waiting service friendly and very efficient. Not the cheapest place to eat, but there was an interesting variety of regional starters, mains and desserts, all well prepared and very tasty. Also available to drink was tap water (no quibble and replenished without asking,) beer and/or a good selection of wines, by the bottle or glass.Best to book directly with Mme Bonnaire ([email protected]) as it was busy on the Friday night - also we thought it a good sign that locals (couples and families) dined there too!

Unfortunately, I cannot agree with the reviews below. We had a meal at Coeur de Vall on 31 December, and it was a great disappointment.Food: my husband and I, only eat white meat and fish. Not a problem as the 2 suggestions that evening (outside the normal menu,) were both fish, and we ordered one of each. We enjoyed neither of them. A lot of thick sauce, with a bit of decoration on the plate to make it 'haute cuisine', covering some fish and not sure what else, is what we were presented with. The dessert was definately not 'home made' and probably bought ready made, nothing special. We had the feeling that the owner/Manager of the restaurant did not appreciate the fact that we did not spend enough on wine, food etc..She certainly made no effort to come to our table to see if we were OK, but made sure to attend the adjoining tables. The price we paid was just under 100 Euros (2 drinks, 2 starters, 2 main courses and only 1 dessert,) far too much for no enjoyment. Atmosphere: although the restaurant appeared to be full, it could have been any other day of the year, there was no festive atmosphere and no festive decorations. We expected a lot better for a New Year's Eve dinner. We certainly will not go there again if we happen to be in the area.

Just enjoyed a meal for 8 at this delightful restaurant, the decor is beautiful and relaxing, the food delicious and a lovely wine menu. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. Thank you!

We are immensely impressed by the lunches at this restaurant and have eaten there 5 times during our 3-week stay. The plat du jour is a beautifully presented and imaginative dish at only 12 Euros. The desserts for just under 3 Euros are also beautifully presented - no plain creme caramel here. If you are looking for interesting food and not just the standard Savoie dishes of burger, raclette, tartiflette etc this is the place. There is an outdoor terrace with a lovely views as well as indoor tables. They also pass the test for modern and clean loos. If you prefer beer to wine try adding Picon (burnt orange liqueur) to 1664! They speak at least some English,

Le Coeur was recommended to us by our ski instructor and we were pleased that we tried it out. The food was a very high standard and the presentation was amazing. The prices were more than we would normally pay but as a one off we didn't mind.

Relaxed atmosphere with some tables having fantastic views over the valley. Escargot and mushroom tart for starters were very tasty and correctly cooked. The main lamb shank was falling off the bone accompanied by vegetables with far eastern flavouring. The salmon ballotine with saint-jacques was unexpectedly matched with vanilla but was still very good. Reasonable wine choice with some halves. Good cheese plate.
