We stopped with our three children at 1.45. We got a frosty welcome when the waitress realized that we only wanted drinks. She took our job and then told me in French that she would have to move us when someone came with who wanted to eat. If the restaurant had been full, I might have had some sympathy, but there were many free tables outside where we were sitting because the lunch break was over. It was an unnecessary comment and quite simply rude... We decided to spend our money elsewhere, cancel our order and have gone. Many English families spend a lot of money for coming to France for skiing. Many of us cannot really afford to spend the extorted prices of drinks in the alpine restaurants. So if we don't have much choice, it would at least be nice to have a warm welcome and a bit more frequent rebellion.
