Fantastic food made the Iraqi eay with generous portions. The live music is great, but depending on where you are seated, almost too loud. The after dinner tea service also adds a nice touch to overall atmosphere along with the beautiful murals, 3 ft spits lining the back wall of the open kitchen, and the tantilzing aroma of grilled kebabs and savory spices. The wait staff are lovely and do the best they can to keep up with the high volume of customers. Expect a line, but well worth the wait. Everything is made with love and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back!

THE WORST PLACE EVER!!!! after picking up my order today I met a lady outside, she asked my help to buy her food, I walked back in with her but the cashier was upset! Saying “what you’re doing is wrong, the restaurant have asked her not to come here” and was upset about the lady asking for food Excuse me??!!! the lady asked for “FOOD” !!! First of all you can’t tell me what I can&can’t do!!! Second it is not ethical to treat people in need with that attitude, I don’t think it’s any of her business to worry about that!!!! Very unprofessional!!!!

Blew away our expectations in terms of food, service and ambiance. Their lunch special is an insane deal for the amount of food and quality. We got beef kebabs which had an amazing charcoal taste from the grill. The bread and soup that came with it were so fresh and tasty. The complimentary water and tea are small things but so appreciated. Our server was very attentive and sweet to our baby. Food came out quick!

Had the best time here yesterday, the service was very efficient and the food was delicious. The iraqi kebab and tikka were so flavorful. Even the lentil soup is worth mentioning. The naan was fresh out of the oven. I really loved my food after a long time. The iraqi chai at the end was so satisfying. Réservez une table maintenant

The guy who greeted us was racist and made us feel unwelcome. Never experienced such rude behavior in my life. It used to be our regular weekend spot. Not anymore. The good thing is there are no shortages of middle eastern restaurants in Michigan.

Located in a mini-mall full of Arabic-owned fairs, this restaurant is one of the more authentic Middle Eastern eateries in Metro-Detroit. Great, old world flavors, ambience. Delicious tikka!

Their food is wonderful: The hummus, kabobs, beef tikka sandwiches, lentil soup, and nice, warm Iraqi bread. I'm never disappointed at Ishtar Restaurant! I'll be back!

We came 30 minutes before closing and they allowed us to dine in. Presentation was really welcoming but the taste of the food was plain and not flavorful. Réservez une table maintenant
