Sat at the sushi bar and had a great experience. Strategically placed mirrors allow you watch the sushi chef work his magic, and magic it was. The spicy tuna roll was fantastic not only in taste but also in presentation. Add to that the momos, a Nepalese dumpling that is a wonderfully unique spiced ground turkey in a savory broth that could be a meal in itself. To complement the meal, I went with the suggested saki and was highly pleased with a cold, very smooth saki that had a hint of pear and paired perfectly. Overall, the contemporary decor and relaxed atmosphere were a very nice experience. The sushi staff is obviously top-notch, the wait staff was very attentive and the saki selection was the best I've seen. Even got a visit from the owner, who is very nice and obviously wants to ensure his customers have an enjoyable experience. Can't wait to go back...

Bamboo is a great atmosphere with great people! All the way from the food, the drinks, company, staff and even the owners Sam Bernie are all five star, is a great success. Owners are just as busy at work as all staff around them. Highly recommend to everyone who are visiting our great City of Birmingham, even the Natives of Birmingham.

Travis was our server, very efficient and knowledgeable. Get the momo and braised beef small plate, super flavorful. My husband got sushi and said it was great. Everyone's food was coming out super fast and it all looked and smelled delicious. Took the advice of other reviewers and got there right when they opened.

Bamboo is easily one of our favorite places in Birmingham. The owners are gracious hosts and every server is very knowledgeable about the the menu. I would recommend it to anyone who wants the freshest and most creative sushi and Japanese cuisine in Birmingham.

Excellent place to dine...when looking for sushi and more I highly recommend Bamboo on 2nd. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff as owner. The farm raise Catfish is a must!
