Bartino Portugese Tapas & Bar

My son treated me to lunch at Bartino and I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is easy to find, has beautiful decor, and offers a great view of all the activity outside. The lunch menu may be small, but my husband and I were both satisfied with our choices. I had a delicious chicken, halloumi, and avocado salad, while my husband enjoyed the chicken schnitzel. We were both impressed with our meals. We also selected a fantastic Portuguese wine, which we loved so much that we bought a 6 pack to take home. The owner was delightful and despite being busy due to a seminar at The Star, they managed everything very well.

What is it that's so foreboding about an empty restaurant? We should have listened to our instincts on this one! The food was very poor, and nearly all of it was spelled wrongly in either or both Spanish and English. While bad spelling doesn't mean...bad food it does mean that they neither know the dishes well enough to get them right nor do they dare. The service was nice enough but slow and the setting is pleasant with a good bit of outdoor space decorated with fariy lights (I'm such a sucker for fairy lights)... we might just have a drink next time.

This restaurant is fantastic. The grilled fish made me feel like I was dining in Portugal. The house wine, a rose from Portugal, was excellent. The daily deals for tapas offer great value in a cozy atmosphere. While it may not have a waterfront view like other restaurants nearby, it provides a more authentic dining experience with delicious food. I highly recommend it. Réservez une table maintenant

We've eaten here 3 times over the past 2 or 3 years, and enjoyed it each time. The owner/waiter is friendly and very helpful with food and wine choice. This last time we (2 of us) had the seafood stew for two at $56. Lots...of flavour, slightly spicy, heaps of good seafood perfectly cooked.

had two tapas meals with my wife. was ok practicing the taste. not much taste. not eating a large amount. view photos. great service and good selection of wein and special craft beer. beautiful place with a feeling for portugal wooden floors...and benches word a go!

I went to try the Portuguese tapas with my two sons. The interior of the restaurant was small. Our food was served quickly and tasted decent. We found it to be similar to Spanish food, but overall it was just okay.
