My first time eating at Cafe Nouvo for lunch. My beet salad with creamy peppercorn dressing and frisee salad was amazing, fully recommend it as a starter. the salmon with the chipotle crema and vegetables was so addicting and portion size was very filling. Overall the experience was wonderful. My bartender was engaging in our conversation and my ice tea was refreshing. As a pastry chef and someone that dines at fancy restaurant in Boston/ Montreal and NYC, yes I’m foodie and love to travel. One of the more underrated restaurants in Providence, Cafe Nuovo consistently delivers terrific cuisine. The presentation is thoughtful and imaginative, from appetizers to desserts. We recommend their risottos, with scallops being our favorite. The braised short rib and lamb entrees are similarly well prepared and delicious. If possible, ask for a table in Nick's station. He is a certified sommelier, offering interesting details on their well diversified wine list. Nuovo is good for business dinners, formal occasions, and romantic evenings. Excellent service, with valet parking available.
Went to Cafe Nuovo for a late lunch to celebrate my daughters grad school graduation from Bryant University. Fantastic restaurant! Great atmosphere right on the river. Food was fresh, delicious with beautiful presentation!! The service was amazing. Our server, John was very attentive and personable and we would ask for him again!! Highly recommend!
Went here tonight to take advantage of Providence Restaurant Week. We sat by the window overlooking the river, food was excellent our server, John B was great! Nice guy who had a great personality! I would definitely recommend would like to come back especially during waterfire season and request a table outside!
