My wife and I stopped here in person to get some food and coffee. I see a decent amount of complaints about the food but our breakfast sandwiches were awesome. My disappointment lies in the coffee and my online experience. I purchased a small bag of whole beans in the store. They only sold whole beans and there was no ground coffee. I enjoyed this coffee so I purchased a bag on their website. On the website it did not mention if it would be whole beans or grinds. But because they only sold the whole beans in the store I assumed it would be the whole beans. To my disappointment I received a bag of coffee grinds and there was a hole in the bag. Cafe Vero will always get my business! I went for breakfast and it was amazing. The atmosphere, food, and service could not be better! I am not from the area, but unfortunately lost my wallet while I was there. I was able to call around and retrace my steps to find out that I left it at Cafe Vero. After I had already called, they packaged it up and made an attempt to ship it themselves because they didn’t want me to have to come back up and how it feels to lose something so essential to everyday life. Just a kind act that you don’t see much. Great people, great food!
The staff was very nice, but the ice chai latte was over spiced Stong notes of a pepper and the iced vanilla latte was too strong. The oatmeal with very few nuts and few frozen blueberries was decent and the best thing at the table. The hash browns were too greasy with raw and burned parts, omelet was greasy with thin layers of egg surrounding cheddar ham chunks which was below average. Lastly, and the most upsetting the bacon... It was inedible.
Food was good just what you need for breakfast. I was just confused by the ordering process, maybe because I’m not from the area, but we wanted to eat there, yet it was a semi takeout, semi dine in system where they brought your food to you but you take your order at the counter and waited for your coffee… well I didn’t quite understand the concept, but okay ??

I wanted to like this place but almost everything was a bit off. Nothing was terrible but the ordering process was weird and the staff a bit unfriendly. Our table was wobbly and the bagel sandwich I got was mediocre. On the plus side my chai latte was delicious and 1 out of the 2 doughnuts we got were tasty. There's definitely room for improvement.
Cute little place in Lake George. One of the few places still open in the off season. The bagels were really good and they had a good variety of sandwiches. I enjoyed my chai latte. And they also have a variety of baked goods. I really enjoyed by pumpkin spice scone. If you're looking for a simple café, i recommend checking this out.
I come here every year I visit Lake George for a cup of coffee. Their drinks are delicious and have just the right amount of caffeine. And their pastries are fresh and compliment the coffee for a nice snack.
Food was really good. Coffee were very tasty as well, presentation was well done
