Abs delicious lunch! Had the share platter for entree and the burger plus a steak which were both cooked beautifully and tasted amazing. Really friendly staff, good drinks. We actually left the pretentious wineries and their over one menus to come here for lunch on the Main Street of Mclaren Vale and SO glad we did!! Great value, beautiful food, left with full tummies. It was our second visit to Carmel's - the 1st time my husband did the triple layer burger challenge and he finished it within the 30 minutes!! Give it a go!! Delicious!! We'll be back!
Visited Carmel's on Sunday for a Birthday Lunch for My Mum. Atmosphere was lovely. Warm Friendly staff and a Lovely Lady Kimmi even sang my Mum Happy Birthday!! The food was excellent standard as was the wine. Yes a little more than a pub meal BUT you only pay for what you receive and well worth it. The wood heater was on and the warmth from the staff standout especially Carmel. Thankyou again! we will be back!
also the great part of beef bau buns and the curries looked great. basic cafe on the outside and in, but the Thai influenced menu was a pleasant surprise. a decent amount of covered seats in the open at this location, which requires a fair amount of capacity to cope with its deserved popularity in the high season. food: 5/5 service: 5/5 atmosphere: 3/5 .more
This place has some good reviews but we found the food to be no better than our local pub which charges half the price. For tasty imaginative fare it is better to go to one of the excellent winery restaurants where the surroundings are peaceful sauces are made fresh by experienced chefs.

Had a lovely dinner at Carmels, the scene was set with lovely staff, wood fire and heaters going on a cold winter's night. The serves were very generous and each dish was amazing. We would recommend here to anyone who visits mclaren vale
Booked a table at short notice, the place was packed. A great variety of food at realistic prices and a great atmosphere. The food arrived in good time and not only smelt and looked good, it tastes amazing. Will definitely be back.
My wife took me here for lunch.The staff are brilliant very helpful and great attitude.the trio of dips are brilliant.Food overall was lovely.Very groovy a must to do in mclarenvale
