Cheng's Asian Bistro

In July 2023, I dined at this restaurant which offers both dine-in and carryout options. The carryout service was busy and the restaurant had many customers inside. My two daughters ordered sweet and sour chicken. One of them, a 5-year-old, did not enjoy it due to the sauce, while the other, a 10-year-old, loved it. I would recommend asking for the sauce on the side. The chicken pieces were large and tasty. I tried the gai kow, which was okay but the chicken was a bit chewy. The vegetables were fresh and flavorful. My wife had the almond chicken, which she found to be good with large chicken pieces and a side of sauce. The rice was cooked perfectly. I go there at least three times a month. But this was the very first time that I wasn’t satisfied with my meal. I order sweet and sour chicken/peppers steak with shrimp fried rice and the rice was over cooked and very little sauce on my pepper steak and sweet and sour sauce. I realize that there’s a sign on the door for a dishwasher, cashier and cook. That is normally my clue to not order but I had placed my order over the phone. I’ll give them a few months before returning to ensure that they have the proper people so that the food is not lacking it good tasty food that once was there.

I'll give it 31/2 . My order was almond chic dinner w/ egg roll and chic fried rice. All was good and tasty but for 13.00 I got 2 chic breast fillet pieces. My other favorite Chinese restaurant in Troy( 18mi -Rochester rd) is equally tasty with 3 chic fillets. I know, it's just an extra piece of chicken...but it's an extra piece of chicken breast. 2 slices of chicken breast to me is stingy when paying 13 for a dinner. That's just me. Their food was tasty though. Just comparing these 2 good restaurants I go to.

This is the best on the area. Cleanest restaurant too. You will pay a bit more but the quality and portions are fantastic. I've never had a meal that wasn't fresh. They're only humans and make mistakes sometimes (sauce leak). You people have no concept of service, I swear. Reading some of these reviews was maddening. Crying babies. Keep it up, Cheng's. Don't get me wrong the food was great, but the individual boxes weren't stapled shut and the boxes weren't individual wrapped with Saran wrap sauce was spilled all over the inside of the bag, one big mess plus we were shorted an order of spring rolls. wish I could share my picture order.

The food at this restaurant is always fresh and delicious! They are also amazing at accommodating gluten-free diets, which is rare to find. The staff is always friendly and I have ordered takeout from them at least 10 times.

It's been a staple in the area since it opened 6 or 7 years ago. The interior is always clean and the food is superb. They're extremely consistent and the vegetable fried rice is the best I've ever had.

Best in the area and it’s not even close! It is the only place that we will order takeout from. I miss when they were open. It was actually nice atmosphere when you can come in and sit down. Réservez une table maintenant

Always come here for good quality food. Love the won ton soup, the almond boneless chicken, pad Thai, general tso, orange chicken. Really, you can't go wrong. If you want a treat try the bbq

This restaurant in Macomb County has the best Asian food hands down. I have enjoyed everything I've tried here and my favorite dish is the House Egg Foo Young.
