I can give it three stars I'd give it five stars for the wait staff service was fabulous but the food so so the problem was is we sat outside ordered a couple of iced teas and you could tell that it was pre-mixed to the picture probably without a lid on in the refrigerator and had a stale taste that was the first disappointment we ordered alucard it kind of reminds me of a George Webb menu 500 things and nothing's done right I'm sorry I wish I could give him a better review but it was just so so and I can't see them making it they would be better off limiting their menu lowering the prices giving you customer more product and they could do better but having so many things on the menu you jus...
Update: Oh no! El Fuego has closed! Say it isn't so!I drove there last night and all the lights were out. I looked at there Facebook page this morning and they had announced they were closing effective 1/29/22. I wish them the best of luck and hope they continue to make their delicious food at a new location. I stumbled upon this restaurant on my way home from some errands. Wow! I did not expect to find such a great Mexican restaurant in Cedar Grove. So glad I had a taste for Mexican that day. I've already been back another couple of times. The enchiladas are fantastic!Head over to El Fuego when you want a great Mexican meal.
I love El Fuego! I've never been disappointed. You get a lot of food for a very reasonable price. I almost always get the enchiladas (with chicken or ground beef and the red sauce), and it's always excellent. Often times, the same young lady takes my order. She's very nice. I guess I am kind of a regular so she has allowed me to place a late order after a super crazy day and that solidified my love for this place. They seem to have lasted longer than other restaurants that opened up in this location and during the turbulent time of Covid. I hope the community continues to support this small business. I know I will!
It took my husband and me a little while to find our go to meals, but, since we found them, we have always enjoyed them. He prefers the Pollo Perfecto and usually takes home enough for a second meal! He also likes the tacos. My favorite is the Chicken Avocado sandwich with sides of lettuce and tomatoes.
