I called because I like there tacos and I talked to someone that doesn't even speak English I kept asking for someone that speaks English...all I wanted was three steak tacos and they kept trying to give me tostadas I kept saying no they kept saying yes so I just said no thank you and hung up the phone... I don't think I will be calling back or going back I feel like everyone doesn't speak Spanish so they should always have someone there that speaks enough English to understand orders... Thanks
This is a very simple place, no luxurious location, but the food is made of an old-fashioned Mexican way. The sauces are good. The horchata water drink is to die for!!! The tacos are good. Be sure you tell them not to want any fat in the steak tacos to enjoy them more, lol.. but here is the thing prices are reasonable if you like to relax and take it easy this restaurant is fine to eat. Service with a smile yes they try to make you feel welcome and respectful.
Ordered a lengua taco dinner disgusting. The meat smelled very old along with the plate it was served on...like they used a dirty sponge to clean their dish. I got so nauseous i couldn't eat anything else. A health inspector needs to go check this restaurant out. The waitress was very kind the cashier seemed like she had an attitude. Oh well! I know my Mexican food this was garbage. Old meat dirty, smelly dishes!
I was going to taconazo on North Ave in Chicago for years would always order my Torta de Milanesa there and I wanted to give this location a try, so I ordered the same Torta de Milanesa and they were skimpy with beans and avocado meat for what it cost no worth it compared to other location that place was always consistent every time I went there and generous with all toppings. All the food is good with the essence of green chilaquiles, the very fried tortilla and little sauce that GIVES it FLAVOR!! The meat is super cooked, dry and a little bit, you order them with the fried eggs and they serve them with the llema almost completely cooked, the beans and the rice were the good thing about the dish.!
I don’t know if the food is old or something but the chicken enchilada dinner smelled very odd like it was spoiled. I was also given rotten avocado. Gave two stars for the horchata because it was really good. Chips and salsa was alright but overall never coming back here
I’m leaving a review because the waitress dropped hot coffee on me and did not bother to help me. Luckily it was not too hot or else I could’ve been burned. The manager did not come to apologize or help as well. Please be careful when dining here .
My worst experience on 3-29-2024 the taco de lengua was spoiled thank God I took a piece and not a big bite of my favorite taco the meat was sour Réservez une table maintenant
Place is very dirty, found metal shaving on my tacos one day. It always smells like a dirty towel in there….
