Great place to unwind after a shopping spree at Paddy 's. Located just at the entrance of the famous Chinatown gate, you can hardly miss it . It was a warm breezy afternoon , so we enjoyed our cantonese treats with some street view. The prawn dumpling was a repeat on our table ..given we were a set of seafood lovers . We ordered 2 chicken dishes both braised one stir fried in Sichuan sauce and the other cooked in a mini pot with spicy Wine sauce, the latter is highly recommended ! Although it 's called a 'spicy sauce '..it is not hot but a little more salty. The portions are generous enough and a plate of fried rice or noodles (we ordered Singapore Noodles) can be shared by 2. We heard the term “Chinese tapas” used to describe yum cha and it seemed quite appropriate. It really sums up what yum cha involves to a more Australian/European mind set. We love it though. It’s such a great way to sample a variety of small dishes at lunch time. Emperors Garden are at the end of Dixon St on the intersection with Hay St in Chinatown and have been churning out yum cha for quite a while now. We were there for a quick lunch and yum cha is perfect when you’re in a rush.

Famous Chinese style brunch. Yum Cha meaning ‘Tea Dim Sum’ always makes Teddy Happy. The chicken feet on top left corner is for the brave and adventurous appetite. It’s like Vegemite, you either love it or hate it. You can get decent Yum Cha at not over the top price. It’s always good to realise that we can have good Yum Cha in Sydney. I give this place 4 bears

The service and speed of service were excellent! My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed a delicious Chinese breakfast. The food was of top quality and expertly prepared. I had the youtiao doujiang combo and it was exactly what I was craving. The prices were reasonable and they accepted card payments without any issues. Highly recommended!
