Having been to Spain and my family and enjoyed Spanish Food be it Tapas or Paella etc, we looked forward to having a meal with the wider family at Encasa's. First up the positive. As I ate at Encasa, some of those flavours took me back to Barcelona, Malaga and Alicante. We had a group set menu so didn't have a chance to try the Paella (more about that later). Over all the food, the quantity of food was satisfying and by the end of the set menu only had enough room for some churros for dessert. Now Encasa has some issues which spoiled the night and we wish we'd been aware of before booking. 1. The place is really noisy when busy, the stark walls and ceilings reflect the noise that you end up...

Came here because we had a craving for good Spanish paella. This dish did not disappoint, but … We had: Pan de la casa it came to the table colder than a cat’s nose and was dry as. Gambas Al ajillo perfectly done, true to the Spanish way of cooking and serving it. Excellent! Paella and rice Pollo y chorizo another dish prepared in true Spanish fashion with the nice socarrat at the bottom. Very good! We ordered for hubby and I, but we still feel the portions were a bit small for 2. And churros of course! The dip was great, but the churros were not what I expected. It seemed it was “reheated”? Too dry! The last dish served always seals the memory of your meal. Not really a pleasant way to end...

We checked in at Encasa without a reservation but was seated in 5 minutes. The place was super busy but we didn’t feel like it was. Fernando, our waiter from Argentina, was super attentive and helpful. We have a peanut allergy and ate the Paella Marisco and Paella Chorizo and Pollo. We also had the churros for dessert and it was fantastic! What a great find! The red sangria was delicious!

I had a marvellous dinner with my son here and particularly relished the sangria. It was perfectly made and not too sweet. The service was highly professional as well and the tapas and paella were both top notch.
