This charming café has friendly and accommodating staff, with a fantastic range of food choices. It was an ideal spot to catch up with friends from Rome and the Netherlands. Our group enjoyed a diverse selection from the menu, including soup, Scottish breakfast, scrambled eggs with salmon, smoothies, waffles, carrot cake, and tea – all of which were delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with comfy owl cushions scattered around. While you might easily walk past it, it is definitely worth seeking out and stopping by. The café extends further back than expected, providing plenty of seating space.
Fantastic little cafe with a very homely atmosphere, unique decor and interesting soups toasties The host was fantastic, and very welcoming as if it was his own home. He immediately warned us that there would be a bit of a wait, but continued to give every customer very personal service so nobody felt rushed. The coffee and food was very good and it was very warm and cozy. Would definitely recommend stopping in if you aren't in a rush!
Absolutely loved the experience at Fatty Owls Edinburgh, just a short walk to the Castle and Old Town experience. The quaint but beautiful cafe has so much personality. It was a relaxing, home like experience From the decor to the music, to the food. Definitely a star experience . A good price too. I am going back for sure!
