We had just gotten off the plane in Newark, and my brother in law wanted to get dinner. Kilim was highly rated on Google, so we went there. To be honest, I wasn't sure what to order. My brother in law loves Mediterranean food, but it's not common for our family to eat it. I had the meatballs, and my wife had the salmon. Everything was delicious. We got some hummus to dip our bread in, and it was amazing. The lady who owns the place was very friendly, and asked where we were from. It's not likely that I'll get back to that area again, but if I do, I'll definitely come back for dinner again.
Love the decor! It's so pretty and spring like inside. The entryway had is so cute we had to take pictures hehehe Greeted by friendly smiles and service was excellent. Turkish Tea is complementary and definitely should try. Turkish Soda, Uludag Gazoz, is yummy! It's not as sweet as American sodas. Grape Leaves were ok, I've had better. Eggplant with Tomato Sauce is delicious! I would have loved to have this as an entrée ???? Bronzino was ok, I needed to add salt and pepper Lamb Chops, they were small but so good and I don't like lamb.
My dining experience at Kilim Mediterranean food was incredible! The Turkish food they serve is outstanding. The atmosphere was welcoming from the moment I arrived, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I began with their tasty appetizers, such as the hummus and crispy falafel. The main course was a delight; I thoroughly enjoyed their deliciously grilled kebabs and fragrant rice pilaf. Every bite was full of authentic Turkish flavors. I am eager to return and enjoy more of their delicious dishes.
Really good Mediterranean food. We got the pastrami rolls for appetizer. It was good. Main course we got lamb shank and the chicken shish kabab. Both of them came with a side of rice. The lamb shank was excellent. I recommend trying the lamb shank. We finished off with kunefe for desert. I enjoyed kunefe. The restaurant is well kept and perfect for dates. The service was extremely good, the staff was really friendly. It wasn't crowded at all, we were the only customer when we were there. Réservez une table maintenant
Nice place. We came from out of town and my family stopped in for an early dinner at 4pm on a Wednesday. So we had the place to ourselves. Our waiter Mo was very good and so was the manager Adam. I would give the experience a 3.5 stars. My lamb sish kabob was good and my wife enjoyed her branzino. As for the calamari, my daughters felt it lacked flavor and I agree. The salad was nice as well. Overall a decent dining experience.
I came to Jersey on a business trip and stopped by for Lunch. We were greeted by the Staff. We met Lale the manager and Osman the Chef. The place inside is impeccable. The food was amazing to include the portions. The appetizers were superb and they topped it off with a huge size baclava. Honestly if you are in the area it?s a must stop by and eat or order take out. You will not be disappointed.
Kilim is a very lovely environment in which to eat and the dishes are freshly prepared and delicious. The staff is very courteous and friendly- ready to answer any questions one may have.
