Parking Clash, if your in need of parking in the closest to the door Handicap spot, beware, the Drive-Through wait line WILL be blocking you in whenever you get ready to go. Hint: put your car in reverse and actually back up a few feet so that the cars blocking you as they sit, waiting, in the drive through line can see that you 're trying to leave and they might take pity on you and allow you to back out and exit the line. It has been a while since I’ve visited. Today I had a craving and it turns out none of what I wanted is still on the menu. I knew the grill had closed but I thought for sure it would be open again by now. No steaks. No prime rib. I was craving smoked sausage with pimento cheese and jalapeño peppers. Turns out they put the cheese and peppers into the sausage, effectively ruining all three. My portion of pulled pork was smaller than my side of slaw. My cheese biscuits were cold. When I asked for ketchup with my onion rings the runner said “there is some” and pointed to the tiny cup on the plate. My tea was refilled but no ice was added. This place is a must if you're in the area. Our waitress was great. The food was some of the best BBQ I've had. The Carolina Pork was moist and full of intense flavor. The jalapeño sausage was not dry at all, and the portion size was great. The brisket was good, but I'm a bit biased to my TX Brisket guys. The sides were take home worthy to eat later on since you will fill up on the meats. The sweet cheddar rolls at the start of the meal where warm and fluffy. Ask for the white sauce as well.
We came here specifically for brisket. We ordered and 10 minutes later the waitress (who vastly lacked personality overall) came back and told us they didn't have brisket... I don't eat pork or catfish and really don't like smoked poultry so I froze and was like... I think I'm good. She pressed so I said, I guess I'll just have that mac cheese side. I was honestly surprised to find that she charged me for it as being without your most expensive meat is bad form in itself... Réservez une table maintenant
If I could only give 10 stars! Not only is the food delicious we had the Carolina bbq-plentiful, delicious and seasoned to perfection with tasty collard greens and a huge generously loaded baked potato) but the service from Tamara was friendly, attentive just amazing. On top of it all we left a windbreaker and James the manager took the extra time and effort to mail it to us. Well run and managed. Thanks for everything!
Just moved to Alabama from Washington state a few weeks ago and this was our first taste of southern BBQ, it was divine. Delicious pulled chicken and pork, as well as their brisket. My girlfriend loved her baked potato, and their cheddar biscuits were tasty too. Staff was kindly and attentive, location was clean and our food came pretty quick. Will definitely be coming back to visit again soon.
Two friends and I ate dinner on Saturday evening. Each chose different options from the menu. Our Server (Mattie) was knowledgeable and answered all of questions. The food was delivered promptly, it was prepared correctly, it was hot and delicious. Our Server (Mattie) was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very clean. We received premium food and service at a very reasonable price.
