Madigan's Besancon

Never been to Besancon before, but pleased we did and found the Irish bar for lunch. The meal was absolutely delicious, never in our lives have we has such a thick piece of Jambon and also large. Good choice of European beers, excellent service from lovely staff.

Je pense que pour certains il serait temps de changer de métier... Nourriture vraiment moyenne frites crues , beaucoup de bruit, et pour couronner le tout, le serveur avec des lunettes est plus que désagréable et n'a aucune amabilité et aucun professionnalisme.

We were attracted to the location outdoor service. Prices were fine and food was served fast. However, the food itself left a bit to be desired as did the stressed out service people who looked like they needed a couple more wait staff helping out.

Nice beer but my fish n chips were extremely oily. The ladies on my side had some sort of french meal with chicken and potatoes and it looked normal… Guess their problem is when frying things. Go there for the beer.

We stopped here for lunch in Besançon and ordered the Plat du Jour, which was Beef carpaccio and it was very good.
