After a long time wanting to try this restaurant I would say it was just ok. I do realize it's lake George (big deal) but prices I would say are a bit on the outrageous side. I believe the chicken parm was $32, that's crazy. I chose the beef bragiole at $29 I thought it was one of the more faily priced menu items. I would rate it as tasty and I did like their sauce but this did not resemble bragiole at all. Every bragiole I've ever had was rolled like a log and stuffed inside. This was just chunks of meat and was a little on the skimpy side. My wife had a soup which she said was very good and an Italian sampler type meal. We chose to enjoy Italian cuisine during our stay in Lake George, and as Italians who truly appreciate food, we had certain expectations. The atmosphere and service at the restaurant were excellent. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, which is my benchmark for judging Italian restaurants, and my wife opted for the Chicken Marsala. Both dishes were good, but they didn’t quite meet my expectations for authentic Italian fare. That’s why I’m giving it 4 stars.
Absolutely fabulous! The food was amazing....prices were very fair. But the best part was the service. Our server was so professional yet very sweet. She took her job very seriously and it showed. Came to Mario's 2 nights during our trip and had a fantastic time. Now I know why my parents took me and my sisters when we were little. If your in the lake George area it is a must!!!!
I had a wonderful time enjoying dinner at the bar. Nick was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, and he truly made our evening special. The food was delicious as well!
