First and foremost, there is no air conditioning, and the cabins tend to be quite hot. It's best to bring a battery-operated window fan. The so-called "superhost" is nonexistent; you simply receive your room code via text. If you encounter any issues with your room, there's no one available to assist you. We paid for two nights but will be leaving after just one. This has been a miserable experience at what was supposed to be a mountain river retreat. As I write this at 5:57 AM, it’s still hot in the room, and the bathroom has a moldy smell.
Still here on my first night. It's a bit warm for my liking, and unfortunately, my room doesn’t have a lake view. The bathroom has a slightly musty smell. However, the room is clean. The bed is incredibly soft, which isn’t ideal for me, so I ended up sleeping on the couch by the window. There are USB ports available, but they only provide a slow charge, so be sure to bring your own fast charger and block.
We were displaced from our home due to a wildfire. The gracious owners made the cabins available at a discounted price. The cabins are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. They sit right on the lake with views of the surrounding mountains. If you want a beautiful, quiet, peaceful place to get away that is not far from Colorado Springs you will not be disappointed at Mountain River Lodge.
Great little cabin. Reserved for two nights while at Camp Alexander as my tent started leaking and I didn't want my wife to have to deal with that. Room was very clean and well appointed. All appliances and plumbing worked. Water was hot. The heated toilet seat was a big winner coming from vault toilets after a couple 32 degree nights. I'd definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Mountain River Lodge. It was comfortable with heated bathroom and toilet seat. Amenities were great and the mini refrigerator was convenient to have. The view over Lake George was beautiful. We did not use the outdoor fire place and grill area but thought it was a wonderful touch to the property. It was a relaxing, aesthetically pleasing space.
Wow! What an incredible cabin! I would love to have a house like this, just a bit bigger. It's classy, spotless, and unique—there are so many ways to describe this place! We stayed in Cabin #2. We had originally booked one night during our trip, but decided to stay another night to unwind and relax. We're so happy we discovered this gem! We'll definitely be back!
The cabin was the best I have ever been to! Even though it was the biggest, it had a lot of great things. It was nice and warm during the snow storm that hit and it was also in a great spot! The bathroom was very nice and the rooms were cozy. It was worth a stay for a trip.Rooms: The rooms have TVs and the beds were very comfy.
Mountain River Lodge was such a nice place. The cabin was beautifully decorated and very clean. The check in was so simple and the support was immediate and welcoming. We stayed in the main cabin and it was so adorable. This would be a wonderful place for a family reunion!

My husband and I stayed the night a few days ago. It was the perfect place for a quick getaway. Conveniently located from south Denver, it was easy to find. And it is near a lot of fun things to do in the mountains! The cabin was clean and comfortable and super cute.
