"Great uni student friendly prices, great environment to catch up with people for breakfast or brunch. I had the banana porridge and a chai tea made on milk. No regrets at all. Went around Easter time and the little Lindt egg was very cute."

On a blisteringly hot Brissy day we were pounding the curb along the southbank precinct looking for something delicious that would cater to both our tastebuds. I'm not really sure if we were successful. The cafe itself is tiny & no indoor seating available. The seating outside was shaded & watching the birds play in the trees was more than enough to offset the heat. The girl that served us seemed nice enough, she seemed a bit flustered / harassed by the sweltering conditions, which, let's face it... Was pretty understandable. Overall, I could not possibly see myself returning. There is simply nothing noteworthy or even anything that looked like I'd want to go back to try. Capcakes ar...

With small cakes, croissants, muffins and the like, this cafe has all outdoor tables on Grey street as well as in a laneway through to Little Stanley Street where you can sit and enjoy the menu. The coffees we ordered were promptly delivered and presented well. A savoury muffin was flavourful as was an almond croissant. All the other patty cakes were decorative and looked tempting. The coffee was good, having a pleasant richness and body with no bitterness to the end of the cup - always a good indicator. Worthwhile stop with one of the better coffees in Southbank.

Very affordable. Nice classic breakfast options. Quite busy/popular the day we went, and could accommodate a lot of people (despite being a small place). Slight issues with the tiny tables, and sun plastering down through the small umbrellas (little shelter), but no real complaints :-)
