This restaurant is owned by a lovely couple who are extremely accommodating and eager to please, which makes every visit a delightful experience. They have a wide variety of vegan options on their menu, but I always opt for the buffet as they clearly indicate the vegan dishes. During my last visit, 7 out of 10 main dishes (along with fresh naan brought to the table) were vegan, and everything was incredibly delicious! The food is always fresh, hearty, and packed with vegetables and flavor. They even offer fresh fruit as part of their buffet. In addition, their homemade sauces are clearly labeled. Had an amazing meal and experience here this evening. The food is incredible and so is the service. The owner was so excited to tell us about all of their vegan options and how they came to have such a great selection of vegan fare. We tried the samosas, falafels and vegan butter “chicken” and it was all delicious. The butter “chicken” was especially satisfying. We will absolutely be returning and are looking forward to trying the buffet which we were told has even more vegan options (everything aside from a couple of meat options is vegan already) on Mondays and Tuesdays!
Went for the supper buffet. Food was excellent. When you go to a buffet some times the food can be a bit cold due to it sitting but it was nice and warm and incredibly flavorful and delicious. The small selection is fine given that everything offered is of great quality. The warmed naan bread offered was excellent and tasted incredibly fresh. The staff was welcoming and warm from start to finish and ensured you had a great time. Would 100% go again and recommend anyone in the area to give it a visit.
I visited the buffet with a group of friends without much prior knowledge about the restaurant. I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised by the tasty vegan choices available. The tofu butter chicken is a definite must-try dish. Having tried Indian cuisine in various locations globally, this has quickly become one of my top favorites.

Fantastic food, Great service with genuine and comforting interaction in addition to a beautiful atmosphere. An incredibly unique offer of flavourful dishes, unlike anywhere else I've experience in St. John's. I would truly recommend NJ's to any lover of traditional Indian food or anybody looking to try something new.
This restaurant offers Bangladeshi-style Indian cuisine with a wide variety of vegan options, all clearly labeled. They serve two types of halwa - semolina and carrot. The presence of many repeat customers and the packed crowd on a Sunday night indicate that this is a popular local spot.
Absolutely amazing. Loads of vegan/vegetarian options, the owner was very friendly and chatted with us, and was happy to have any feedback on everything. One of the best restaurants on the island hands down. Do not pass on a chance to eat here, you will not be dissatisfied.

I love the vegan options. My boyfriend loves the meat, always delicious. Every meal is an absolute pleasure to eat every time we visit. The people are so friendly and the chef is talented and cooks from the heart. We enjoyed the special Valentines Day menu
Amazing food owners! They are very accommodating always looking for new ways to improve their menu for all! I especially like their numerous Vegan options...a brand new variety of brunch items coming very soon! Yummolicous! A must try!
