Northshore Harbour Cafe

On our morning walk, thought we 'd pop in for a coffee and breakfast. We got caught in the rain so it was a welcome reprieve to arrive to a near empty cafe (there was one full table and 2 people on bench seats). As we...scanned in per COVID protocol, I noticed staff member Ella tapping the register implying we were taking to long. When I showed her we had checked in, she brushed it off asking if we were actually going to eat in. Wow, if she was having a **** day, don 't take it out on the customers. We smiled politely and nodded, adding we 'd love a table for two and pointed to an empty table, because there were plenty. My partner asked for a menu as we couldn 't easily see one and the staff...

We really enjoyed our lunch at Northshore Harbour. The staff were lovely and we were seated promptly. We are fine with ordering at the counter we can buy what we want and our friends can buy what they want and we dont have to...worry about splitting bills. Our meals arrived in a perfectly timely manner. My lamb was tender and our friends enjoyed the prawn and chorizo. It was a lovely, lazy afternoon spent by the Brisbane River.

Over the years management has changed several times and seems to have again. Limited lunch menu on greasy menus, several daily specials, prices high for portions and quality. Minimal service though friendly. For example, fish and chips at $26.50 consisted of one small piece of...fish, a handful of chips, some lettuce with one piece of tomato. Very disappointed, won’t return.

Recently had a lazy lunch here with one of our grandkids, setting, food, drinks and service all made for a relaxed and pleasant experience.

Had a great coffee and banana bread was really nice. I would definitely go there for lunch or dinner
