Partner and I have been in Stouffville about a year. We have looked for a good steak house. We drove by NYS often and rarely noticed traffic in the parking lot. We checked Trip Advisor, read all those negative reviews and were hesitant to go there.We thought "Things can't be so bad for so long. Let's go see for ourselves."I don't get all those bad reviews. Yesterday, on Valentine`s Day we had no reservation because we have a baby and 2,5 yo girl so we didn`t want to screwed up somebody`s romantic date night and accidentally we mentioned on our way that this restaurant is open. It was a little bit scary because I saw only one couple there. Hmmm. They had a prefixed menu for $45 with two soups, cezar salad, two entrées and 4 desserts. We have decided to try different ones and at the very end we were completely surprised by the quality of food and whole night. This can't be happening on our 5 year anniversary! The place was nice, but the buck stopped there. The food took an hour to arrive, and when it did it was just plain bad bad bad. It did not match the lovely descriptions from the menu and was cheap and stale. I was furious as the meal cost me almost $75. I have never felt so ripped off. I left a 1 cent tip and told the owner/waiter/cook (I know) that he was a con artist. That was being nice. Word is he owns the plaza and so that's how he affords to keep this big beautiful fasad open.
What rude people. First it was dead inside. Second we asked to look at a menu and was given one with Mother day paperwork falling out (its September) by a grumpy lady who acted like we were inconveniencing her being there.No conversation - she left us there at the entrance.We saw two other women sitting over in the corner by the open kitchen playing cards or something staring at us.Its like they are open but do not want business? There wasn't even a menu posted outside in the menu glass that is mounted? The whole thing is odd.

After reading many negative reviews over the past few years we finally decided to try this place ourselves. We made arrangements to meet friends there last night, but should have phoned ahead to make reservations. Our friends arrived early and thought we had played a joke on them by sending them to a closed restaurant.......YES closed .... I don't know if its permanent.....time will tell
our experience was horrible, it was over priced and so slow, for a small town, this resturant has a lot to learn about how to treat its customers. Will not be returning to this spot , would rather drive to Markham or Toronto for a steak dinnner
I read a lot of bad reviews on here, which I didn't see when I walked in. The food was very good a little over priced but good none the less. The desert was amazing, I suggest risking it and giving it a try.
The food was awesome and will certainly be going back. The atmosphere was very enjoyable and the service was excellent.
