Had dinner here on Sunday. Perhaps we're tainted from our exceptional experience at the Oak Steakhouse at Avalon, but this experience was subpar. Our only saving grace was Josh, our server! I have dietary restrictions and my appetizer (asparagus) wasprepared incorrectly (as in heavily salted). I know it seems minor, but it could land me in the hospital, so it's serious. Theydid correct the issue. My husband's steak was overcooked and very thin for a ribeye. Disappointing. My filet (ordered mediumwell) was heavily charred (read burnt; it was not ordered Pittsburgh style) and undercooked in the center (read rare). Weordered fries that never appeared, except on our bill. I'm a full time local, attempting to treat my wife and I to a nice date. First time here. Ordered the steak frites and this is what was delivered to the table....for almost $40 (for this dish only), I truly feel ripped off and still feel sick to mystomach that I actually paid for this. Steak was also not cooked to the correct temperature, but that's normal these days. Theservice was sub par and there was zero airflow in the dining room. Reluctantly sat sweating eating my four, 1 inch pieces ofsteak. Don't buy the 5 star ratings. They are likely left by those too sauced to notice the horrible service and food.

We always enjoy the Oak Steakhouse in Charleston and were happy to see that had a restaurant in Highlands. The service and food were outstanding. From our cocktail at the bar served by Christine to our delicious meal served by Breanna. We both had the steak and frites and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Melt in your mouth good. We ended our meal with some delicious mango sorbet. It was top notch from start to finish.

Oak Steakhouse has been a great addition to our community. I have thoroughly enjoyed the drinks, food, atmosphere and the great service. Its not just about the Steaks they have delicious Pasta with Bolognese, and the best Smash Burger ever that brings meback time and again. I find myself craving it. They also offer one of the best brunches in our area. *Brunch Dinner Pics.
Shannon provided excellent service and promptly seated us at our reservation time. The wedge salad was quite large, though a bit too heavy on the blue cheese, but still crisp and fresh. The half-chicken ended up being a quarter chicken, but it was delicious and satisfying for a meal. I plan on giving this restaurant another chance and will try the steak next time.
We enjoyed Oak Steakhouae as part of a girls' trip. The filet was delicious! The restaurant was impeccably clean, the staff was welcoming and helpful. Michael was a delight, and don't get me started on the amazing drinks he served us! We had such a great time, our only complaint is that we hadn't discovered this gem earlier in our trip.
The service from Shannon was great and they seated us right on time for our reservation. My large wedge salad was a generous portion, too heavy on the blue cheese, but crisp and fresh. The half-chicken turned out to be a quarter chicken but tasty andplenty for dinner. I?ll give it another try and have steak next time.

We found Oak steakhouse to be one of the better restaurants in Highlands. The duck fat poached lobster tail on saffron rice was exceptional?. As were the beef tartare, beef carpaccio and burger (and burgers rarely impress me). Staff was professional and attentive. Nice atmosphere. Would happily return and enjoy
