Ozeki Japanese Restaurant

Just in it for a quick buck.Living in Kelowna, we often attend this restaurant and most particularly order Seafood Ramen Noodle Soup. It is a spicy dish that in the past has been delicious.Tonights iteration was a milk-based chicken broth without spices containing less than half of the noodles,seafood and other things that are part of the recipe.Being a good sport I raised the issue with the waitress and was met with ambivalence. I asked for the manager and explained the issue and was met with ambivalence. The manager offered no solution no price reduction no substitution no replacement she just shrugged and left.Restaurants in tourist town survive on business that comes in during the winter...

Haven't been to Ozeki in a couple years. I find the quality a lot lower than many great sushi places in town. The place seems a bit dirty and cheap. The food was just alright. Had the beef asparagus appy. I'd pass on this one. Tastes like skirt steak with teriyaki from a jar. Uninspired. I also found the rolls to have too much rice, and much less ingredients than Momo, or Yama. The nigiri had half the tuna than the place we went last time. Dragon eye roll was great, the rest of the food was just ok. The price was fair.

Was in Kelowna for a few days. We decided on this restaurant for a late lunch. Service was impeccable. We had a bento box with beef teriyaki & another with salmon teriyaki. We also had chicken udon & tempura udon. All the orders tasted good. Paid C$50/- for the five of us.

We went out with friends who were also from out of town. We had a private booth and our blonde server was smashing. Great personality and service. She really made it great. The food was good but pretty standard.

Had several rolls and appies here for lunch, nice atmosphere; recommend the spicy squid karage and agadeshi tofu as starters.
