It was our good fortune to happen upon Pastaggio as the restaurant we'd intended to visit was closed for lunch. Pastaggio is easy to find as it's located on the north side of Stouffville's Main Street, Our lunches were excellent! Our server was lovely and knowledgeable, and we appreciated being able to order half-size servings for lunch. We both thoroughly enjoyed our selections--I had the Pasta Primavera while my friend ordered the 'Vodka'. I ordered the stuffed pasta dish. First of all, the dish looked very visually unappealing. It looked like it came from a can. Then I tried it and things got worse. The pasta was not homemade and tasted like the pasta you get from the supermarket. The sauce was way too salty and underwhelming. In the menu the sauce was described as a "ragu" which was incorrect. There was no meat in the sauce which is typical or a ragu. It was just a poorly made marinara sauce that had no flavour. The service was great but the food was not. I will not be coming back. I'm not sure why this restaurant made it on this list but I would NOT recommend it to anyone!
Out for a drive with the family Saturday night and ended up in Stoufville, just north of Toronto. We were all getting hungry and decided we felt like Italian. Found this restaurant and thought we would try it out. Firstly, the service was fantastic from the hostess to the bus boys. The food was even better. My wife's veal was tender and flavourful. My daughter had the child's portion of Cappelletti which was more than ample for her and had enough for lunch the next day. I had the lasagna which was equally as good. Definitely recommend anyone who enjoys good food to give this place a visit. They won't disappoint!
We have been to Pastaggio now 3 times and each time has been as good as the last grant it we order the same thing each time! The gluten free pasta is great, the chef adjusts the alfredo sauce to be gluten free my son has grilled chicken and I have the gluten free pasta con Gamberi e Calamari...the cesar salad minus the croutons takes fresh and crisp. Pastaggio has been added to our favourites...

My wife and went to this restaurant because they offered some gluten free options, we both had the chicken dish. My portion was twice as thick as my wife's and was not cooked when it was served. I sent it back and the owner who was standing by the bar did not even bother to come and see what the problem was or offer any apologies. I had to go to MCD'S on the way home cause I was still hungry.
This is a hidden gem. The food and service was absolutely amazing. We ordered a bottle of wine and selected two pasta dishes to share. The flavour tingled my taste buds. My pasta never tastes that good. Would definitely go back perhaps on a regular basis. If you haven't been there put it on your list. They also have a patio and a party room available.
Visiting the area, met a friend for lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed the Insalata di Arugula e Blue Cheese. Fresh strawberries were substituted for pears, absolutely delicious. Our server was professional, polite, her timing was spot-on. Decor and ambiance very comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to dine here again. Thank-you for a memorable meal.
My wife and I have been coming to Pastaggio for almost 5 years now. It is truly a very pleasant and welcoming restaurant. We've tried almost everything on the menu and it always is great.The fried calamari is my favourite appetizer. The lamb and pasta dishes are just amazing.Service is always excellent and food is never late.

We had the fried calamari with gorgonzola cheese as a shared starter. It was fantastic. Crispy and the cheese gave it a nice salty note. Marina on the side was very good. Had the pasta special which was flavor-packed! Service was prompt. Lovely interior design.
During a full day of work and errands we stopped at Pastaggio for a midday meal. Our salads were fresh and delicious; service commendable. Not the first time I've eaten here when visiting Stouffville and definitely not the last.
