I absolutely love this hidden gem in Lake George! They operate seasonally, so you need to visit between spring and fall, but it’s totally worth it. Their chicken gyro, samosa chaat, and falafel are incredible. They’re conveniently located right across from the visitor center. I always choose Sahara Halal Gyro over other restaurants whenever I’m in town during the season. The man at the grill, who I believe is the owner, is wonderful to talk to. Don’t miss out on this spot!
Some of the best food we've enjoyed since relocating to the Adirondacks. We tried the chicken kabob over rice and the samosa chaat, and the rich flavors were incredible. We requested it spicy, and at last, we experienced some real heat around here. The portion size was generous—we were both satisfied after sharing just one entree and an appetizer. We'll definitely return whenever we're in the Lake George area.
The food quality and service at Sahara Halal Gyro leave much to be desired. There are certainly better choices nearby. The staff can be unfriendly, and on top of that, the prices are quite high.

One of my favorite restaurants, Hi-Gyro, is by the lake. I've tried many of their salads, and they all have great flavor. The customer service is excellent, and the owner is very friendly.
The staff at Sahara Halal Gyro are incredibly friendly and hardworking. The gyro is delicious with an amazing flavor. I would definitely return. They also have great ice.
